When furnishing a house we think of the main furniture; sofas, tables, cupboards, chairs. Further along the line, when the house is lived in, we need something to store all our bits and bobs in.
Use a wooden box in the kitchen to store homewares such as spare cutlery, a tea set or coffee set or napkins. Next to the fireplace they make great wood, log and kindling storage. Alternatively use your wood basket as a storage box in your living room to preserve vinyl's, dvd's, cd's or even those old home videos you wouldn't dare throw away or alternatively your wooden basket is an optimal way to manage newspapers, books and other current reading material next to your chaises longues or armchair. Of course, you then have the option of the wicker storage basket for those much needed summer picnics in the park with a gin and tonic or homemade lemonade. Think of using your new wooden basket in the bathroom to store spare towels for your guests and loved ones or even as a chic way to store blankets or extra pillows in a bedroom.
